Orthognathic Surgery

October 3, 2014

Dr. Battle tries his best to avoid surgery and extractions on his patients, but in some circumstances, surgery is a great option to achieve the desired results. Surgery is just one option, a tool in an orthodontist’s large bag of tools. It’s important that your orthodontist knows which tool to use, when to use it, and how to use it. In this case, we were able to give one of our favorite patients the smile that she was looking for by using a combination of braces and surgery. Total time was about 18 months.

“Difficult takes a year, Impossible takes about 2.”
