How do I know if I need orthodontic treatment?
Some orthodontic conditions are obvious to the eye, but there’s a few that can be difficult to spot without a professional opinion. That’s why we offer complimentary consultations!
Dr. Battle will examine your teeth and jaw bones with no charge, no risk, and no obligation. We genuinely want to help you make the best decision for your smile.
There are a few telling conditions that may indicate a need for orthodontics, including:
- Crowded or crooked teeth
- Overbite or underbite
- Crossbite
- Spacing or gapped teeth
At your first visit to our orthodontist office in Waterford Lakes or Winter Springs, we’ll determine whether you’d benefit from braces or clear aligner treatment and present our expert recommendations to you.
What treatments do you offer for UCF students?
We understand that not every Knight has the same smile style! That’s why at Premiere Orthodontics, Dr. Battle offers a few different advanced treatments to choose from. So you can find the type of braces or clear aligners that you vibe with! Whether you’re looking for a more traditional look or a discreet treatment, we’ve got the perfect smile solution for you.
Metal Braces:
Knights can rock a retro look with metal braces for the aesthetics because these aren’t the same model of braces you mother wore when she was your age! Today’s metal braces are smaller and gentle on sensitive mouths giving you a more comfortable treatment without sacrificing the efficiency.
Clear ceramic braces
Go a more subtle route with brackets that blend in with the natural color of your teeth. These braces function just like metal braces but have a less noticeable look to them.
InBrace® braces
Time to flip it up! The Inbrace system offers a behind-the-teeth orthodontic treatment that’s perfect for the student-lifestyle. Dr. Battle will set your brackets and wires and you may even forget you have them on!
Clear aligners
Looking for a removable and clear option for your smile journey? Clarity™ clear aligners may be for you! Just like Invisalign, Clarity aligners can give you a comfortable and discreet orthodontic treatment. (And if you’re a current Invisalign patient with UCF Dental, you can transfer your treatment to Dr. Battle who’s a certified and experienced Invisalign provider if you wish!)

Ask our team about virtual check-ins through our Dental Monitoring app. You’ll be given a timeframe to submit your smile updates and all the gear you need to make it happen!

- A digital 3D model of your teeth captured by our Trios dental scanner
- (Possibly) a CBCT scan, if Dr. Battle spots potential TMJ-D or airway concerns.
- And a comprehensive orthodontic evaluation of your teeth and jaws using the expert eyes of Dr. Battle.
