This is a question that I receive all the time. The answer is it depends on your specific needs. Braces are the most efficient, cost-effective way of moving teeth into their correct place. Teeth can be controlled in all 3 dimensions with traditional braces. Invisalign is a less efficient cosmetic and removable alternative to braces. Invisalign also costs more than braces because of outside orthodontic lab fees. Invisalign can be a great option if perfection and speed are not your chief concerns. If you have a desire for fast results or absolute perfection then braces would be the optimal choice. In addition to regular metal braces, there are options to get hidden braces behind your teeth or ceramic (clear) braces in front. Both of these options give exceptional results with improved cosmetics. However generally, the more cosmetic the treatment option, the slower the result, so you’ll have to balance that decision with your needs.
