At Premiere Orthodontics in Winter Springs, Invisalign® treatment is planned and supervised by Dr. Jason Battle, DDS, CAGS, ABO, a board-certified orthodontist with over 20 years of experience. Our office at 5733 Canton Cv sits off SR 417 near the corner of Tuskawilla Rd and Red Bug Lake Rd, so families from Tuskawilla, Glen Eagle and Avery Park can reach us without a long trip across Seminole County.
Invisalign Care Led by a Clear Aligner Specialist
A set of aligners is only as good as the plan behind it. Dr. Battle is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, an additional, voluntary credential that not every orthodontist earns. Clear aligner therapy is the area he is best known for: he has taught and presented on it at orthodontic conferences in Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Malta, Australia and across the United States, serves as a speaker and clinical expert for clear aligners, and is a member of the European Aligner Society. You can read more about his training on the Dr. Jason Battle page.
That background matters most in the cases other offices turn away. Dr. Battle is the orthodontist many patients turn to after being told by other providers that their ideal treatment was not an option, and he has the skill to align teeth without extractions in many cases.
How Invisalign Moves Teeth
Invisalign trays are made of BPA-free, flexible plastic using SmartTrack® material, a material made only for the Invisalign system. Each tray is shaped slightly differently from the one before it. You receive one tray for your upper teeth and one for your lower teeth, wear them as instructed, and then move on to the next pair in the series. Each step applies gentle, planned pressure, and over the course of the series your teeth move toward the position Dr. Battle mapped out before treatment began.
Wear time is what makes the plan work. Aligners need to stay in for at least 20 to 22 hours a day, coming out only to eat, drink anything other than water, brush and floss. When trays spend too much time in the case, teeth fall behind the plan and treatment takes longer.
Digital Planning Before Your First Tray
We start with a TRIOS intraoral scan instead of putty impressions, so there is no goop and no gagging. The scanner builds a precise 3D model of your teeth and bite in a few minutes, and it can also show you a simulated preview of how your smile could look after treatment. Digital x-rays round out the records with less radiation than traditional film. These tools are described in more detail under orthodontic technology.
During treatment, DentalMonitoring lets you send photo and video updates of your progress from your phone. Dr. Battle reviews them and decides whether you are on track or need to come in for an adjustment, which means fewer drives down Red Bug Lake Rd for routine checks.
What Invisalign Can Correct
Invisalign is not only for small cosmetic changes. Depending on your records, it can address:
- Crowded or crooked teeth
- Gaps and spacing between teeth
- Overbite, underbite, crossbite and open bite
- Teeth that protrude
- Jaw pain, popping or clicking related to how the teeth fit together
Some plans include attachments or an orthodontic appliance, like rubber bands, to help certain movements. If your exam shows a bite problem that aligners alone will not fix well, Dr. Battle will explain why and talk through alternatives such as braces or a hybrid plan that pairs aligners with braces. The broader list of common orthodontic issues we treat may help you recognize your own concern before the visit.
Doctor-Supervised Treatment Versus Mail-Order Kits
At-home aligner kits skip the exam, the x-rays and the in-person monitoring. Without a doctor watching how the teeth and bite respond, problems can go unnoticed until they are hard to undo. With Invisalign at our Winter Springs office, Dr. Battle monitors your progress and can adjust your personalized treatment plan along the way.
Retainers, the Guarantee and Lifetime Whitening
When the last tray is finished, the next job is holding the result. You will wear a retainer full-time at first and then at night going forward; the retainers section explains the types and how to care for them. Our Lifetime Guarantee covers relapse: if you complete full treatment, stop wearing your retainer and your teeth shift back, Dr. Battle will replace your braces, and your cost is limited to a nominal monthly adjustment charge and a new retainer. Every patient who completes treatment also receives free professional teeth whitening for life.
Paying for Invisalign
Invisalign costs the same as braces here, so the decision can rest on what suits your teeth and routine. We offer zero-interest in-house financing with low or no down payment, outside plans through CareCredit or LendingPoint, and we accept most insurance including PPO, HMO and DeltaCare, with a Medicaid discount. Our team files claims for you. Payment plans are covered on the orthodontic financing page, and you can call the office at (407) 699-1200 with insurance questions before your visit.
Invisalign FAQ
Am I a candidate for Invisalign?
The only reliable way to know is an exam with x-rays and a scan. Dr. Battle often treats people who were previously told they were not candidates, so it is worth a second opinion.
Can I start on the same day as my consultation?
Often, yes. Let us know when you schedule that you want a same-day start, and we can complete your aligner scans during your first visit.
Do I have to give up foods I enjoy?
No. You remove your aligners to eat, drink, brush and floss, so there are no food restrictions. Brush before putting them back in.
To find out whether Invisalign suits your smile, request a New Patient Exam with Dr. Battle. The visit is complimentary, and the office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Driving directions are listed under office location and hours.
